Restaurant Tasca Olivense sits quietly on Carrer de Beatriu de Centelles in Oliva, offering a straightforward, no-frills spot to enjoy traditional Spanish and Mediterranean dishes. This full-service restaurant appeals primarily to locals who appreciate hearty, well-priced meals rather than flashy dining experiences. Its interior leans toward the practical, with décor that feels a little dated, but this doesn't deter a steady crowd, especially during lunchtime when the menú del día attracts those looking for a satisfying, budget-friendly option.

The menu covers classic Mediterranean and Spanish fare with highlights such as Costillar Asado, Sepia a la Plancha, Arroz con Bogavante, and comforting Patatas Bravas. Diners can also find homemade desserts like Pan de Calatrava Casero or Tarta de Queso rounding out their meal. Portions tend to be generous, catering well to groups or families who favor a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. The outdoor seating area adds versatility, making it a decent choice for pleasant days when you want a little fresh air alongside your meal.

Service here is approachable and friendly without being overly formal, reflecting the restaurant’s role as a dependable local spot rather than a tourist draw. The crowd is mainly Spanish-speaking locals, which helps preserve an authentic vibe and gives visitors a sense of how dining happens in this part of Valencia province. Many guests come for the hearty dishes like lamb shank or chuletón, indicating the kitchen’s strength lies in traditional, meaty options rather than fusion or trendy plates.

Visiting for lunch tends to work well, especially if you want the menú del día, which offers a good variety of starters, mains, and a dessert or coffee for a reasonable price — drinks are extra, so plan accordingly. Evenings here are less about ambiance and more about enjoying straightforward Mediterranean flavors in a casual setting, making it a useful choice when you want a solid meal without fuss. If you appreciate classic Spanish cooking served in a relaxed, unpretentious space where locals gather regularly, Tasca Olivense fits the bill.

This restaurant is a bit hidden away but worth visiting. My friends had the lamb shank and they all raved about it. I had confit of cod, which was good, served with proper chips. Nice waitress, reasonable prices, full of Spanish people, so it must be OK!

This bar/restaurant caters for its customers with both inside and outside seating. Decor is a bit dated, but the menu offers a wide variety of tasty options which are well priced. Service staff are mostly friendly and easy to work with.

This is our go-to place, great coffee, nice tostadas with jamón and queso! The menu of the day is good value, and the chuletón for lunch or dinner is great!
